GLIFL to Webcast Inaugural Great Lakes Bowl

Published on July 21, 2006 under Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release

Indoor football fans around the world will have a chance to be part of history on Saturday night. OSC Radio veteran and host of indoor football's only radio program, Dean Jackson, will provide play-by-play from Port Huron's McMorran Place Arena for the inaugural Great Lakes Bowl, which will crown the first champion of the Great Lakes Indoor Football League.

"Quite frankly, we are thrilled," said GLIFL co-founder Jeff Spitaleri. "These two teams have had two amazing matchups so far, and the third one is for everything. To bring in someone as respected as Dean only adds to the allure of this game."

The Pirates come into the league's championship game undefeated, looking to become only the fourth team to ever finish a season unbeaten. Rochester comes to Port Huron looking to finish a job they came close to doing twice, losing by a yard in Port Huron and in overtime at home earlier in the season.

Kickoff at McMorran Place is slated for 7:35 P.M. (Eastern), with the pre-game kicking off the internet radio festivities at 7:05.
