
Gladiators' Austin Voted Week 5 AFL MVP

CHICAGO - Cleveland Gladiators quarterback Shane Austin has been voted AFL MVP for Week 5 of the 2014 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season.
Austin (6-1, 200, Hawaii) completed 21-of-37 passes for 243 yards and five touchdowns in Cleveland's 40-30 road victory over the LA KISS last week. He leads the AFL in passing efficiency with a mark of 128.1 this season and has not thrown an interception all year. Austin was also voted AFL MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 3 this season.
Fans had 24 hours to vote for the AFL MVP award on ArenaFootball.com. Other candidates included Arizona Rattlers quarterback Nick Davila and Philadelphia Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh.
