
German rivals face off

THE 2003 NFL Europe League season is approaching the halfway mark and all three games in Week 5 will have huge implications as teams jockey for position on the road to World Bowl XI.
The action begins on Saturday May 3 with the league-leading Frankfurt Galaxy (3-1) visiting fierce rivals Rhein Fire (2-2) in Gelsenkirchen. Both teams will be hungry for a win following road losses last weekend and a big crowd is expected to witness the action at the Arena Auf Schalke.
The Week 5 action will be completed on Sunday May 4 when the in-form F.C. Barcelona Dragons (3-1) head north to take on the Scottish Claymores (2-2) at Glasgow's Hampden Park â site of World Bowl XI on June 14. In Germany, the winless Berlin Thunder (0-4) will play host to the Amsterdam Admirals (2-2), who are one of five teams either at the top of the NFLEL standings or within one game of the lead.
