Georgia Swarm News Release
(DULUTH, Ga.) - The Georgia Swarm have made a flurry of roster moves before tonight's game against the Toronto Rock. Forward Jordan Hall and transition player Chad Tutton are making their season debuts with the Swarm, and goaltender Kevin Orleman is also being activated to the Active Roster from the Evaluation Period. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.
Hall was acquired via a trade with the New England Black Wolves in the offseason following the 2016 NLL season. Georgia sent three draft picks in the 2016 NLL Draft to acquire the 10-year veteran. Last season, Hall finished with 80 points (20G, 60A), 70 LB, 5 CT and a .180 SPCT. Described by teammate Mike Poulin as the "glue that holds the team together," Hall finished up his stellar season by winning the NLL Sportsmanship Award.
The Surrey, B.C. native was on the Holdout List for the 2017-18 season due to personal reasons. In 153 regular games, Hall has 616 points (205G, 411A), 808 LB, 33 CT and a career .188 SPCT. In 20 postseason games, he has 63 points (22G, 41A), 114 LB, 7 CT and a .133 SPCT.
Tutton was selected by the Swarm No. 5 overall in the 2015 NLL Draft. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Tutton immediately made his presence known as a rookie and was named to the 2016 All-Rookie Team, one of four Swarm players to make the six-man team that year. Last season, Tutton saw time in all 18 regular season games, posting 11 points (4G, 7A), 74 LB and 22 CT.
In Game 1 of the East Division Finals on May 13 against the Toronto Rock, Tutton recorded two points (1G, 1A), 3 LB and 1 CT before exiting the game with a lower body injury. The Courtice, ON native has been on the Injured List since then. In 36 regular season games, Tutton has 33 points (18G, 15A), 164 LB and 46 CT.
Orleman made the Swarm Opening Day roster but was moved to the Physically Unable to Perform list shortly after. The Kitchener, ON native was picked No. 18 overall in the 2016 NLL Draft by the Buffalo Bandits and signed an offseason deal with the Swarm in 2017.
Orleman is a veteran of the Jr. A Kitchener Waterloo Braves. The netminder most recently played for the Arena Lacrosse League in 2017 for the Paris RiverWolves. He ended the season with a 12.74 GAA and a .773 SV% over 296:47 min.
Tonight, the Swarm will be hosting its inaugural Country Night presented by JT Stratford and will feature a 10-minute halftime and 30-minute postgame performance by country music superstar Scotty McCreery. Early arriving fans will receive cowbells courtesy of JT Stratford. Tickets are available at GeorgiaSwarm.com/CountryNight or by calling 844-4-GASWARM.
