Georgia Force Announces Offensive Line Signees

Norcross, GA (December 15, 2010) - With the season quickly approaching, the Georgia Force areexcited to announce offensive line signings for the 2011 season. Head Coach Dean Cokinos has spent the off-season in search of quality offensive lineman and is pleased to announce the addition of eight players who will play a critical role on the offensive side of the ball. "In Arena Football it is vital that you are strong up front. Our success will depend heavily on the play of the offensive line. Our focus early in free agency was on the big men and we are extremely excited about this group of lineman that we have coming into camp", said Cokinos.

Daverin Geralds (6'2", 315) is a former Ole Miss standout who spent time in camp with both the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints before signing a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL in 2010.

Stephen Sene (6'5", 318) was a Big South First Team Tackle for Liberty University. In 2008, Sene signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Rams. He was release by the Rams and picked up by the New England Patriots that same year. Sene played with Alabama Vipers in 2010.

Kevin McAlmont (6'3", 305) is a former Western Carolina Catamount. McAlmont, who hails from Fairburn, GA and attended Creekside high school has spent time in the AFL with the New Orleans VooDoo, the NFL with the New York Giants and Denver Broncos, and also spent time overseas with NFL Europe,.

Sergio Render (6'4", 310) was a standout guard for Virginia Tech, being named to the Outland Trophy watch list, which is awarded to the nation's top interior lineman. Render was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released after camp. This is Render's first season in the AFL.

Sean Allen (6'3", 318) a former standout at East Carolina University was signed by the Force in October and was in training camp with the Buffalo Bills during the summer. After a sudden rash of injuries to the Bills offensive line, Allen was called back on December 7 and is currently on their practice squad.

Ray Norell (6'6", 325) attended camp with the New York Sentinels (UFL) in 2009, as well as the Rookie mini-camp for the Cincinnati Bengals. Norell was a part of the 2008 MAC Championship team for the University at Buffalo and started 10 games in 2010 for the Alabama Vipers.

Dion Small (6'3", 310) was a two-time All-Sunbelt Conference player for Troy University. In 2009 Small, an Americus, GA resident was rated as one the top 50 Offensive Linemen coming out of college. First Team All Conference USA,

Jake Seitz (6'2", 285), is another signee the Force picked up on the offensive line. A Rookie to the AFL, Seitz started in a record 48 games at center for University of Alabama Birmingham which lead him to earning the 2009 Rimington Award Watch List for the nation's top center.

Cokinos has high expectations from this group of players. "It is a diverse group of guys, with a combination of size, strength and speed, they are all interchangeable. Geralds, Allen and Seitz are pure centers and Render and Norell can play guard/TE or center which is vital in the arena game. More importantly, all are high caliber players with strong backgrounds in college, the NFL or AFL and they all love to play the game. We will look to add one or two more players here but we are anticipating a very competitive camp on the offensive line, Cokinos said."
