Georgia Fire Announce Only Tryout Before 2014 Season

March 5, 2014 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) - Georgia Fire News Release

Rome, GA (March 5, 2014) - The Georgia Fire of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) will hold a free agent open tryout on Saturday March 15th from 10am-2pm at Barron Stadium in Rome, GA.

The tryout will be current Fire and former CFL Coach, Cosmo Dematteo, and his staff. Opportunities to play professional football are limited as the PIFL provides an opportunity for players to showcase their abilities that will enable them to continue their long term goals.

"North West Georgia and the whole Coosa Valley has so much to offer. When you also see what Atlanta can add this is one of the most talented areas in the country and we expect to pick up some high caliber players that can contribute to our first season." Said Coach Dematteo

Fire Tryout Info:

When - Saturday, March 15th

Where - Barron Stadium, 300 W 3rd Street SW, 30165

Cost - The tryout cost is $50 cash the day of the tryout - No checks or credit cards.

Time - Registration will begin at 1:00 PM sharp and the tryout will start shortly after.

Additional Info:

There are no hotel arrangements being provided.

There is no full contact and therefore no need for shoulder pads.

Appropriate dress consists of workout clothes and shoes suited for Artificial Field Turf Tryouts will be conducted rain or shine.
