GBL Announces TV "Game of the Week"

(Dublin, CA. April 25, 2008) The Golden Baseball League (GBL) announced today a broadcasting partnership with iBN Sports (Interactive Broadcast Network Sports), a premier internet based sports television network, to televise at least 40 GBL games on the iBN Sports Baseball Channel (http://www.ibnsports.com/baseball.asp) in the upcoming 2008 Championship Season. At least one game each week of the regular season, and several games on a number of weeks, will be broadcast from Nettleton Stadium in Chico, CA; Peccole Park in Reno, NV; Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, AZ; and Blair Field in Long Beach, CA.
"We are excited to give our loyal fans another great way to follow their team this season," said Dave Kaval, Chief Executive Officer of the Golden Baseball League. "iBN Sports is a leader in internet television broadcasting and the Baseball Channel is a great venue for GBL baseball. In addition, the exposure for players and marketing opportunities for corporate partners makes it a home run."
Ten home games will be broadcast each for the Chico Outlaws, Reno Silver Sox, Long Beach Armada, and Yuma Scorpions. Other teams and additional games may be added at a later date. All games will be broadcast free of charge.

The Baseball Channel is one of the sports verticals within the network of iBN Sports that is targeted for growth in 2008. iBN Sports has appointed Ed Hart as Executive Producer to grow the Baseball Channel. Hart has consulted with over 30 major and minor league teams and recently served as the General Manager of the Orange County Flyers Professional baseball team.
