Toronto Maple Leafs' second baseman Gamin Teague is the Rawlings IBL Player of the Week for the week ending July 13.
Teague batted .500 on eight hits in 16 at bats including two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI's in four games as he led the Leafs to
a 3-1, won-lost record on the week. Toronto is in sixth place with a 13-18, won-lost record.
Teague went 3-for-4, with a double and three RBI's, in a rain-shortened 10-2 win over Oshawa on July 8 and followed that up with a 2-for-6 night on July 9 in a 17-9 win over Hamilton. Both hits were home runs for a total of four RBI's on the night.
On July 13, he went 3-for-4, with a double and RBI, in the second game of a doubleheader against Guelph, a 4-3 Leafs win. He was 0-for-2 with a walk in the opener of the DH, a 3-0 Guelph victory.
Teague is now batting .280 on the season and leads the Leafs with eight home runs and 23 RBI's. He is tied for third in the League in home runs.
