Game-Worn Jersey Auctions Continue

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that game-worn jerseys from 2008-09 and other seasons are being auctioned by MeiGray online at ECHLAuction.at.edeal.com.

Teams currently available are the Augusta Lynx, the Bakersfield Condors, the Columbia Inferno, the Dayton Bombers, the Fresno Falcons, the Gwinnett Gladiators, the Idaho Steelheads, the Las Vegas Wranglers, the Phoenix RoadRunners and the Reading Royals.

The Reading and Columbia auctions conclude on Tuesday while the Idaho and Phoenix jerseys are available until Thursday. The auction for Fresno and Gwinnett continues until Sept. 15 while Dayton and Las Vegas will be available until Sept. 17 and Augusta and Bakersfield until Sept. 22

Each team in the ECHL wears one set of home and road jerseys for the first half of the season and another set for the second half of the year. MeiGray owns the exclusive rights to the jerseys worn in the first half of the season while the teams have the rights to the jerseys worn during the second half.

- There were 72 former ECHL players on NHL opening-day rosters.

- There are 15 assistant coaches in the NHL who were players or coaches in the ECHL.
- Nineteen former ECHL officials scheduled to work as part of the NHL officiating team in 2009-10 with David Banfield, Francis Charron, Chris Ciamaga, Ghislain Hebert, Marc Joannette, Mike Leggo, Wes McCauley, Dean Morton, Dan O'Rourke, Brian Pochmara, Kevin Pollock, Kyle Rehman, Chris Rooney, Justin St. Pierre and Ian Walsh, and linesmen Steve Barton, Brian Mach, Tim Nowak and Jay Sharrers.
- ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 29 teams in the American Hockey League and for the past 20 years there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion.
- In the last six seasons the ECHL has had more call-ups to the AHL than all other professional leagues combined with over 2,500 call-ups involving more than 1,300 players and in 2008-09 there were 10 times as many call-ups from the ECHL to the AHL than all other professional leagues.
