Overview: The Whitecaps F.C. Men's team ran their record to 2-0-0 with a 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers, The winning goal was scored by "supersub" Dave Morris while striker Jason Jordan was named the game's First Star. Vancouver now moves into first place in the Pacific Division, level on points with Seattle with 6, but with a game in hand. Portland remains winless.

Scoring Summary

11' Vanc Jason Jordan - Andrew Veer's header from an Alfredo Valente free kick was stopped, but Jordan jammed in the rebound from 2 yards out.

54' Port Fadi Afash (Manuel Brasil) - Afash broke in down the left and fired it in low from 16 yards.

66' Vanc Dave Morris (Jason Jordan) - Jordan broke in down the middle, got around the keeper, and with defenders closing in, dished to Morris on his right who hit the empty net.

Game Notes
