Postseason Rematch: San Antonio FC and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have met in the last the last two years in the USL Championship playoffs, most recently in the USL Championship Western Conference Quarterfinal last season, with SAFC coming out on top 1-0. SAFC is an undefeated 4-0-1 in the last five meetings with the Switchbacks, only conceding one goal in the span. Colorado Springs last won against San Antonio on March 23, 2019 and has never defeated SAFC at Toyota Field.

Golden Guy: The reigning USL Championship Golden Playmaker has picked up right where he left off last season. Two matches in the year, Jorge Hernandez leads the league with three assists, adding another to his total after assisting the game-tying goal against Tampa Bay. The midfielder is now tied for second in all-time assist leaders for the club, trailing Justin Dhillon with 17. Last year, Hernandez led the league with 10 assists, setting a new SAFC single-season record, and was fifth in the league with 52 chances created.

Keep it 100: SAFC defender Mitchell Taintor notched his 100th appearance across all competitions for SAFC over the weekend against Tampa Bay. Taintor is fourth in all-time appearances for the club. The 29-year-old took over the armband after being unanimously voted captain by his teammates at the start of the season and has been a defensive mainstay for San Antonio since arriving in 2020. Taintor is coming off another successful campaign in 2023, earning his second consecutive All-League selection after making 88 clearances, 46 interceptions and ranking in the top five in recoveries with 230.
