Still On Top: San Antonio FC leads the USL Championship with 57 points behind an 18-4-3 record. The 18 wins are the most in the league, with the team's +22 goal differential the best in the Western Conference.

Trophy Hunting: San Antonio FC is just three points away from clinching the team's third-straight trip to the postseason, and can do so Saturday with a win, or points dropped from Monterey Bay F.C., Phoenix Rising FC and Oakland Roots SC. Additionally, SAFC leads in the hunt for the Copa Tejas Shield, edging out Austin FC of MLS in points per game at 2.28 to 1.85.

Mitchell for MVP: Taintor has been a force in 2022. The defender has scored a career-high five times, as well as an assist. Defensively, Taintor is second on the team in clearances (95) and leads in interceptions (54) and blocks (21). Last week, Taintor's goal in stoppage time leveled the score in a 2-2 draw. Taintor has started all but one USL Championship match this season, contributing to 11 SAFC shutouts, and earning six appearances on the USL Championship's Team of the Week.
