Gallos de Pelea to make history again. To be the best Mexican Basketball team in the last 3 years was not enough for them. They decide to go further, further as to be one of new ABA franchises. Gallos de Pelea in July of this year announces that they were accepted and now the Mexican team will start a new adventure. A big adventure as to be part of one of the most emblematic leagues of basketball, the ABA a direct rival of NBA back in the 70's where big stars show their talent like Dr. Julius Ervin and many more.
Gallos de Pelea a team with one determination, to be big between the big ones, this coming Saturday will host a game against the rival of the border Tijuana Diablos, the other Mexican team that will debut in ABA. An official preseason game between two brothers of the border will take place in Gimnasio Universiatrio at 8 o'clock.
Gallos will write another page in history when the first official game of the ABA is played. This game will be first one to be played by the ABA outside USA and the first time in México and Mr. Tom Chichester the very Director of Officials of the ABA will be the one to apply the rules in the floor of Gimnasio Universitario.
A big moment to be witness for the loyal fans of Gallos de Pelea and all the people who loves the game in the border.
Mr Chichester is expected to be in town tomorrow to be ready for the game, the ABA rules looks to enhance the game, with some modifications of the rules, to have a more dynamic game, trying to improve the offensive systems and bringing a fast peace game that grabs the attention of the fans till the last second.
With rules like the "Player's sixth foul rule" and "The Super Faul" a game can change drastically in the last seconds.
