 National Football League Europa

Galaxy chase Bowl berth

May 28, 2003 - National Football League Europa (NFLE) News Release

NFL EUROPE'S Week 9 action could see the first team qualify for World Bowl XI, which takes place in Glasgow, Scotland, on Saturday June 14.

The Frankfurt Galaxy (5-3) can book their flights to Glasgow if they end a seven-game losing streak against the Rhein Fire (5-3) and win Sunday's Deutschland Derby at the Waldstadion. The Fire can clinch a World Bowl berth if they beat Frankfurt and the F.C. Barcelona Dragons (5-3) defeat the Scottish Claymores (4-4) in Spain 24 hours earlier.

The remaining game in Week 9 features two teams who are already out of the World Bowl race and playing for personal pride as the Berlin Thunder (2-6) visits the Amsterdam Admirals (3-5).

Injury categories are as follows:
Out - Definitely will not play
Doubtful - 75 percent chance will not play
Questionable - 50/50 chance of playing
Probable - Virtual certainty of playing
