FISHERS - The Fuel have announced three signings this month so far. Kyle Aucoin, Michael Marchesan, and Anthony Petruzzelli will return to the Fuel for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Aucoin, 24, returns to Indy after four regular-season games and five playoff games, where he tallied two assists. Before beginning his professional career, the 6'0 defenseman played one season at Miami University of Ohio, where he was named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.

Prior to that, the Hinsdale, Illinois native spent four years at Harvard University. There, he became an ECAC Champion in his first year, while majoring in Entrepreneurship. He was also recognized as a USHL Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the 2019-20 season.

Aucoin was drafted in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, 156th overall. His three younger siblings all play hockey, along with his father, Adrian, who played in the NHL for seventeen seasons.

Marchesan, 25, joined the Indy Fuel in April of 2024 after being claimed off waivers from the Atlanta Gladiators. He played two seasons in Atlanta, totaling 111 games, where he recorded 34 points and 114 penalty minutes.

Last season, with the Fuel, the 6'5 forward tallied seven goals and six assists while collecting 88 penalty minutes and leading the team in that category for most of the year.

During the 2022-23 season, the Burlington, Ontario native played 46 games for the Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), where he recorded 58 points. He led the team in playoff points with 13 in ten games that season as well.

The Hat Tricks won the FPHL's Commissioner's Cup that year, and Marchesan was named the FPHL playoffs MVP.

The 6'5 forward played 32 games for the St. George Ravens of the Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League (GMHL) during the 2021-22 season, where he led the team in points with 101 (54g, 47a). He also recorded 101 penalty minutes, leading the team in that stat as well. In the playoffs that season, he led the team in points with 18 in seven games.

Before that, Marchesan played three seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) for the Pelham Panthers and Hamilton Kilty B's.

Petruzzelli, 33, first came to the Fuel during the 2023-24 season in a trade that sent defenseman Kirill Chaika and forward Luc Brown to Jacksonville in exchange for Petruzzelli and Victor Hadfield. That season, the Federal Way, Washington native played 48 games for Indy. He tallied 21 points and 26 penalty minutes.

He also recorded four games for the Guildford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) that season before playing thirteen games in Jacksonville and scoring six points there.

Prior to that, Petruzzelli played six seasons for the Fort Wayne Komets, serving as captain for his last two. During that time, he was called up to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2019-20 season, where he played four games.

The 5'10 forward returned to the Komets for the 2024-25 season and subsequently the 2025-26 season, where he once again was named alternate captain. In those two seasons, Petruzzelli recorded 40 points in 117 games. He helped the Komets to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in both years.
