
FSL Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Player and Pitcher of the week for the period June 11 "" June 17, 2012 were named today by the Florida State League.
The Player of the week was Clearwater Threshers Outfielder Anthony Hewitt. He played in four games and had six hits in 16 plate appearances. His hits included three homeruns and one double. He had eight RBI's and scored four times. He also had one stolen base. His OBP was .444 and his slugging average was 1.000. Anthony resides in Dunedin, Florida, and is in his fifth year of professional baseball.
The Pitcher of the week was Charlotte Stone Crabs Left-hander Enny Romero. He started one game, posted a 0.00 ERA and in seven innings pitched, allowed no hits and no runs. He gave up four walks and struck out six batters. Enny is in his fourth year of professional baseball and was born in the Dominican Republic.
