
Fresno Monsters First NAHL Tryout Camp a Huge Success

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Monsters held the first of five tryout camps for the new North American Hockey League team this past weekend in Lakewood, California at Glacial Gardens Ice Arena. The three-day camp consisted of 8 teams playing in round-robin games to showcase their talent for the Fresno Monsters coaches in order to earn a spot on the 2010-2011 roster. Players from all over the country came to Lakewood to get their chance at playing in the first-ever California team in the NAHL.
Monsters NAHL Head Coach Eric Ballard believes the buzz is carrying over from the success of the team's storybook inaugural season. "It was a great turnout and a great camp. There was a lot of talent on the ice this weekend, and we look forward to having some players return to our Main Camp in Fresno this August," Ballard explains.
