
Fresno Drafts Two Former Monsters in the 2010 NAHL Entry Draft

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Monsters participated in the team's first-ever North American Hockey League Entry Draft today.
This season the Monsters had two draft picks and selected two players from last season's Fresno Monsters Western States Hockey League team.
Goaltender Peter Megariotis was selected as a first-round draft pick, 4th overall, and forward Thomas Freeman was selected as the 4th draft pick in the second round.
Last season in 17 games played for the Monsters, Megariotis notched an impressive record of 11-3-1 with 5 shutouts in the regular season.
In 46 games played Freeman recorded 24 goals and 59 assists for 83 points.
He also earned a roster spot on the WSHL's Best of the Rest team which played at the Junior National Championships in Massachusetts in March.
The Fresno Monsters continue player recruiting with another tryout camp in Fresno on Friday, June 11th through Sunday, June 13th at Gateway Ice Center.
Players from all over the world will be coming to showcase their skills in front of Fresno Monsters coaches and scouts.
The 2010-2011 season will begin in September.
