
Four Paints Named Prospect League All-Stars

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, will be well represented at the 2016 Prospect League All-Star Game. Jamie Lackner, Jesse Forestell, Tanner Allison, and David Current were all selected to the East Division team for the July 13 game at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in Indiana.
Lackner (College of Wooster) was voted in as the starting first baseman. He is hitting .313 with a team-high 21 RBIs heading into July 7. The Westlake, Ohio, native has played in 32 games for the Paints and has reached base safely in 30 games.
Forestell (Western Michigan University) is hitting .254 for the Paints through July 6, the second-best average among catchers in the East Division.
Allison (Western Michigan University) is an All-Star for the second consecutive summer. This season, the Portland, Mich., native is 2-1 through his first four starts with a 1.58 ERA. The left-hander has struck out 25 batters over 22 2/3 innings, walked just five and allowed 17 hits. Allison has pitched at least five innings and has not allowed more than one earned run in any of his four starts.
Current (Ball State University) has been the top releiver out of the Paints' bullpen so far this summer. Through 14 appearances, the Frankfort, Ky., native has a 1-2 record and an ERA of 0.98. Current has struck out 28 batters and walked just seven over 27 2/3 innings. After giving up an earned run in each of his first two appearances, he has allowed just one earned run over his last 12 appearances.
