
Four Lancers Named to All-MISL Teams

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced that four players were named to the All-MISL teams for the 2012-13 season. Of the six teams represented, Rochester tied Baltimore for most players selected with four and led all teams with two players named to the All-MISL First Team.
Named to the six-player All-MISL First Team are Rochester's own Doug Miller and Mauricio Salles. With 78 goals and 199 total points between the two on the season, they led the league. Miller and Salles are also candidates for the 2012-13 MISL MVP award, which will be announced today in Kansas City. Former Lancers player, Chile Farias is the third candidate for this award.
The 2012-13 MISL All-Rookie team includes two Lancers players. Defenders Stephen Basso and Pedrinho were both given this honor in their first season in the MISL. Playing in all 26 games, Basso had 22 total points and 25 blocks this season. While playing in 23 games, Pedrinho amassed 13 total points and six blocks while anchoring the Lancers transition game with his speed and vision. Pedrinho was also named the 2012-13 Rochester Lancers Rookie of the Year.
The All-MISL and All-Rookie teams are selected through a vote by MISL team management and select media members.
