
Founders & Management Committee Meets in Québec

The World Hockey Association Founders and Management Committee completed two days of meetings in Québec this weekend.
Inclement weather prevented a number of participants from attending the meetings in person. Those franchise applicants participated by conference call in the meetings hosted by Jean-Paul Boily.
Representatives from B.F. Lorenzetti and Associates, Sports Insurance Specialists, made their initial presentation to the league regarding coverage in both Canada and the United States.
League officials confirmed recent discussions with venues in Québec City, Toronto, Hamilton, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Orlando, Birmingham, Dallas, Cincinnati, Portland, Oregon; Kansas City, Missouri; Charlotte, Miami, Halifax, and St. John.
Timelines were established by the participants regarding the payment of league membership fees. Final confirmation of franchises for the inaugural season is expected by March 1, 2004.
