Forward Madison FC and One Barrel Brewing Co. Announce the Return of Cherry Commuter

Madison, WIS. - One Barrel Brewing Co. is relaunching the popular Forward Madison FC beer, the Forward Cherry Commuter. Originally released during the FMFC inaugural season, the beer is set to make its return for the Home Opener on Saturday, April 13th.

Fans will be able to purchase the Cherry Commuter during Forward Madison home games and will be available in six-packs soon. 20% of proceeds from the beer's sales will be donated towards the club's goal of raising $50,000 per year for four years to help build mini soccer pitches around Madison.

"We, at One Barrel Brewing, are thrilled to be partnering once again with Forward FC in our hometown of Madison," said Adam Ginsberg, Director of Operations. "Forward FC Cherry Commuter is a delightful spin on our flagship brew Commuter Kölsch. Mellow cherry additions give this crushable 4.8% abv German style light ale a touch of fruit and a beautiful vibrant color. And with 20% of proceeds going to Madison Parks Foundation, this brew makes it easy to go Full Mingo!"

Just as before, the Forward Cherry Commuter is made with Door Country processed cherry puree, making the beer a deep, red color, and the can will be decked out in Forward Madison branding.

Come check out the Forward Cherry Commuter at the 'Mingos Home Opener this weekend at historic Breese Stevens Field. The squad will play against Henny Derby rivals, Richmond Kickers, on Saturday, April 13th at 6pm. The night will also feature a retirement party for Forward's beloved, live cow mascot, Lionela Bessi.
