Florida Tuskers News Release

ORLANDO, FL - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2010 - After a sensational season in the United Football League, Florida Tuskers cornerback Keiwan Ratliff has been signed and added to the active roster by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ratliff joined the Tuskers just prior to its season opener and would go on to play in all eight games for Florida, including making five starts. He would finish third in the team in tackles (33), while finishing tied for third in the league with a pair of interceptions.

He would become the first player in Florida Tuskers history to return an interception for touchdown, when he picked off Omaha's Jeff Garcia and returning it 29 yards for a score in a Week 8 win. Two weeks later in a rematch with Omaha, he returned a fourth quarter interception 58 yards for another score to clinch a 27-10 win. Ratliff added a third interception and three tackles in Florida's 23-20 loss to Las Vegas in the UFL Championship Game.

Ratliff is no stranger to the NFL. The former University of Florida standout played six seasons in the NFL, splitting time between the Cincinnati Bengals (2004-07), Tampa Bay Bucs (2007), Indianapolis Colts (2007-08) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2009). For his NFL career, he would record 145 total tackles with 14 pass defenses and five interceptions. He was also credited with a pair of forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

With the signing, Ratliff becomes the eighth member of the 2011 Tuskers to sign an NFL contract. Ratliff joins DE Eric Moore, RB Dominic Rhodes, and WR Brian Clark as former Tuskers players to be added to an active NFL roster. Four others have signed NFL practice squad contracts. Those players include TE Jason Pociask (Dallas), LB J Leman (San Diego), WR Maurice Price (Washington) and FB James Develin (Cleveland).
