Former Lakeshore Chinook Jake Noll Debuts with the Nationals

Rochester, Minn. - Former Lakeshore Chinook Jake Noll, made his Major League debut for the Washington Nationals on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Noll is the 211th former Northwoods League player to reach the Major League level.
Noll, who played collegiately at Florida Gulf Coast University, played for the Lakeshore Chinooks in 2014. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 7th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
In 54 games with the Chinooks during the 2014 season, Noll hit .316 with four home runs, 11 doubles and five triples. He also drove in 35 runs and stole 20 bases.
Noll began his minor league career in 2016 with the Nationals Rookie level team in the Gulf Coast League. After seven game he was promoted to the Auburn Doubledays of the Short-Season A New York-Penn League. He would play in 18 games in Auburn before ending the season with the Hagerstown Suns of the Lo-A South Atlantic League. Over 57 games he hit .275 with five home runs, seven doubles and two triples. He drove in 28 runs and stole three bases.
Noll started the 2017 season with Hagerstown. He played in 108 games before a promotion to the Potomac Nationals to end the year. He played in a total of 125 games and hit .260 with 17 home runs, 21 doubles and three triples. He drove in 74 runs, scored 56 times and stole 12 bases.
For the 2018 season, Noll started the year in Potomac and was then promoted to the Harrisburg Senators of the AA Eastern League. He played in 66 games with each club and finished the season with a .291 average. He hit 11 home runs and had 20 doubles and four triples while driving in 72 runs.
In his Major League debut against the New York Mets, Noll entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Tony Sipp. Facing Mets reliever Justin Wilson, he would hit a ground ball to former Woodchuck J.D. Davis at third base who would then throw on to former Mallard Pete Alonso at first for the first out of the inning.
