Force, Westar Energy Host Youth All Skills Challenge

Wichita, KS- The Wichita Force is excited to announce their partnership with Westar Energy for the Wichita Force All Skills Challenge. The youth competition scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 16th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in INTRUST Bank Arena and will be run by Wichita Force players and staff. Admission is free for children ages 7 to 12 and contest will be broken down into three age groups with staggered competition times as follows:
7-8 year olds - Registration: 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., Competition: 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
9-10 year olds - Registration: 9 a.m. - 10 a.m., Competition: 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
11-12 year olds - Registration: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., Competition: 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Participants will be scored based on combined length of their punt, pass and kick in their respective age group. Kids will also take part in a life skills lesson activity with Wichita Force players and receive a free ticket to that evening's game along with a discount ticket opportunity for family members. The top three winners from each age group will be awarded before the game when the Force takes on the Salina Bombers that evening. Prizes for each age include a Force ticket package (3rd place), Force gift card (2nd place), and an official autographed Force game ball (1st place).
Competitors can be entered in the All Skills Challenge on the day of the competition, but parents are encouraged to register early in order to ensure their child has a place in their age group, as the contest is limited to 150 participants. In addition to the All Skills Challenge, May 16th is also Kid's Night presented by Westar Energy, with the first 1,000 people in the door receiving a free set of Force player trading cards. Single game tickets are available, starting at $10 in the Fan Zone section and can be purchased at the INTRUST Bank Arena box office, over the phone by calling (855) 755-SEAT, at participating Dillons locations, or online at www.selectaseat.com .
