Wichita Force News Release
WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force (4-2) will make the trek to the Bloomington, Ill. this Saturday to take on the Edge (2-3) at the U.S. Cellular Center.
Plagued with injuries and last minute roster changes, the Force found it difficult to put a stop to the Beef's offense. The Force gave up 365 total offensive yards including 221 passing.
Suffering back-to-back loss in the last two contests, the Force have dropped to the No. 2 slot in the Northern Division of the Champions Indoor Football league as the Sioux City Bandits have jumped to No. 1.
The Force will continue to fight through adversity as several key players will be absent from this week's game. DB Elbert Mack and DL James McCartney will not play due to personal matters as WR Ronald Davis who is out due to a hairline fracture in his foot.
The Force will bring DB Dominique Terrell and Anthony Daniel to continue to assist the team's defense and special teams as well as WR Brett Soft will see minutes on both sides.
The Bloomington Edge will return to its home turf after coming off a monstrous 73-35 win over the Mesquite Marshals on Saturday. QB Caleb Holbrook threw for 176 yards and six touchdowns on 17 completed passes. Holbrook also contributed one rushing touchdown along with RB Darrelynn Dunn and Andre Raymond, respectively.
