Wichita Force News Release
WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force (6-2) will return to action on Saturday, May 14 as the team takes on the Sioux City Bandits (7-2) for the pairs' first of two meetings this season.
Wichita will take the field for the first time after a one-week bye following the team's 52-42 win over the Chicago Eagles in Week No. 10. Newcomer QB David Olson stepped up as the team's starting quarterback and recorded a total of five touchdowns in the team's win. K Connor Frazell contributed three field goals for 28, 30, and 28 yards, respectively.
The team announced on Tuesday that Frazell will miss the remainder of the season due to a non-football related injury he sustained. Force head coach Paco Martinez will sign a new kicker prior to this week's game.
Sioux City, the reigning Champions Indoor Football champions, currently holds the No. 1 spot of the Northern Division. Only allowing 319 points against them this season, the unit's defense is one that the Force will have to overcome. In the last five contests, the Bandits have averaged 52.2 points per game.
