
Force drop both games of doubleheader

Allentown, Pennsylvania - The Philadelphia Force (9-19) took on the Akron Racers (20-15) for a double header on Saturday, July 29th at ECTB Stadium at Bicentennial Park. The Racers defeated the Force in both games of the set, 14-6 and 8-0.
In game one, Caitlin Benyi connected for two home runs, tallying five RBI for the Racers. Catcher Kristin Butler and shortstop Kristin Johnson also had three hits a piece for the Racers.
The Force offense was led by catcher Ryan Realmuto (2-for-3) who connected on her first home run of the season.
In the night cap of the doubleheader, the Force offense was completely shut down by Akron starter, Radara McHugh. McHugh completed the no hit shutout with four strikeouts and five walks. The Racers tallied eight runs off of 10 hits, including a three run home run by Keohohou in the first inning.
The middle infield for the Racers, comprised of Kristin Johnson and Caitlin Benyi, finished the doubleheader hitting .529 (9-for-17) with 10 RBI and 5 runs.
The Force will be traveling to Connecticut to take on the Brakettes in a four game series beginning on August 3rd.
