WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force has announced the signing of defensive end Tevin Davis.

Davis (6'1, 250) was a member of the Colorado Crush of the Indoor Football League last season. Davis appeared in 14 games for the Crush, while playing both defensive end and linebacker positions. Davis recorded 40 tackles on the season, 1.5 sacks, and returned one fumble for a touchdown.

Davis, a native of Forsyth, Georgia enjoyed a successful college career at Division II powerhouse Valdosta State University, where he started 45 games for the Blazers and won a Division II National Championship in 2012. That same season, Davis started all 14 games, earned several conference honors, and had his best statistical season with 67 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. Davis finished his collegiate career with 128 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and 2 defensive touchdowns.

Returning starter Chaquil Reed and rookie Derrick Lawrence Jr. are the other defensive lineman currently under contract with the Force. Davis will compete in camp for one of the starting edge positions while the Force continue to look for size and depth to add to the interior line.
