Force Announces Partnership with Wichita PD, Westar Energy

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force are excited to announce that the organization has partnered with the Wichita Police Department and Westar Energy for the "Positive ReinFORCEment" program geared to start this week.
The new initiative, powered by Westar Energy, allows officers of the Wichita Police Department to hand out 1,200 undated ticket vouchers to children of the Wichita community to enable recipients to attend any of the six regular season home games at no cost to the individual.
"This is an opportunity for the child to come and bring mom and dad," Force managing partner Marvin Fisher commented on the partnership. "We know there situations out there within the community where there may be a mother with two or three kids in the house and we tell the officer to get them all there. Gives the kids another opportunity to get out and have some fun."
Although this is the first time that the Force and Wichita Police Department have established a partnership, both parties are believe it is a great start to a long term relationship.
"We would like to thank [Wichita Force] for giving us the opportunity to partner with you and Westar Energy to provide these tickets to the citizens of the community," Captain Gavin Siler said. "It's a positive interaction. We appreciate [Wichita Force] for teaming up with us and to make this all happen."
