The Georgia Force of the Arena Football Leagueare pleased to announce their first group of signings -- starting with the defensive line -- for the upcoming 2011 season.

Two of the top pass rushers in the AFL this past year, Anthony Hoke (6'2', 262 lbs)and Jerry Turner (6'3', 265 lbs), are welcomed additions to the Force. A former University of Cincinnati standout, Hoke played for the Cleveland Gladiators in 2010 and finished sixth in the league in sacks with 7 . In addition to Hoke and Turner, Rodney Hardeway(6'3", 258 lbs) and Antonio Reynolds (6'4",260 lbs) are two rising pass rushing threats in the Arena League. Reynolds, a former Tennessee Volunteer, spent two seasons on the New York Giants practice squad and will begin his first-year in the AFL.

"It all starts up front," Head Coach Dean Cokinos said. "It is vitalfor us to have a strong pass rush.We put a lot of energy early in free agency to get some quality pass rushers."

Not only did the Force secure premier pass rushers during free agency, but they also added quality AFL veterans in the trenches with nose guards Jeff Littlejohn (6'3", 318 lbs), who's played for the Jacksonville Sharks and San Jose Sabercats; Terrance Ford (6'3", 325 lbs), who's played for the New Orleans VooDoo and Austin Wranglers; and Leroy Burgess (6'2", 310), who spent this past season with the Milwaukee Iron.

"This is a very dynamic group of menwith acombination of size, speed and strength," Cokinos said. "The common denominator is that they all love to play the game and are fierce competitors."
