Florida Fire Frogs News Release
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Florida Fire Frogs will turn back the clock on Thursday, Aug. 9 and turn into the Kissimmee Cobras against the Fort Myers Miracle at Osceola County Stadium.
"We wanted to pay homage to the baseball tradition here in the Kissimmee community," Fire Frogs president, Erik Anderson, stated. "We wanted to give the fans who have been here since professional baseball started in Central Florida a night to bring back those memories."
The Kissimmee Cobras were an affiliated team with the Houston Astros from 1995 to 2000. Prior to becoming the Cobras, the team was known as the Osceola Astros from 1985 to 1994.
Fans attending the game in their Kissimmee Cobras gear will gain free entry to the contest.
The celebration will be paired with a Free Beer Thursday at the ballpark, where fans 21-and-older will receive free beer until the Miracle score their first run.
