First Time Attendee Enjoys the UIF Show

Omaha, NE - Wendy Townley plans on returning to watch the Omaha Beef of United Indoor Football, even if Matt's Rocket Collection isn't the half-time entertainment. Townley, a Public Affairs Specialist with Cox Communications in Omaha, attended her first indoor football game Friday. She also does public relations for the band Matt's Rocket Collection-which was one of the many great halftime acts during Omaha's 31 to 20 win over the Colorado Ice.

Townley says being at first UIF/Beef game was a lot of fun. "I can see how it was an entertainment, much more than just an athletic, event. I was amazed at the passion of the fans who were in the stands," she said.

She found herself taking in everything on and off-the-field. "It was definitely a treat for all the senses, that's for sure." The band played "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC during their halftime performance. Townley knew that would fit in after hearing parts of AC/DC songs played during game breaks.

Townley had been to about a half-dozen other sporting events in the Omaha area, but puts the Beef game at the top of the list. She had been told of the game's fast pace and was impressed by the players. "You can tell their passion for the game." She also enjoyed seeing the interaction between the players and fans.

Townley is a guest on the league's webcast/radio show This Week in the UIF which will be available on www.unitedindoorfootball.com after 5 p.m. CDT Wednesday.
