Orlando Fire News Release


The Orlando Fire is proud to announce its new association with the Women's Professional Football League (WPFL) the longest running women's football league in history. We are entering our third season as a pro football team and have earned a place in the division playoffs in 2001 and conference playoffs in 2002!!

As we prepare for our 2003 season, we call upon all our supporters to make an active investment in your Orlando Fire. The future is bright and the Orlando Fire staff is working tirelessly on making this season the most memorable for its fans, players and sponsors.

For Players: If you are interested in playing for the Orlando Fire, we encourage you to attend our annual "Player Round-up" on April 1st to be held at 1601 S. Highway 17/92, Longwood, FL 32750 (Middleton Pest Control Offices) at 7:30 pm. Attending the Round-up offers you the opportunity to learn more about the Orlando Fire, the WPFL and women's football in general. No experience is necessary! Feel free to bring a parent, guest or spouse.

For Coaches: As the Fire assesses its coaching strengths, we encourage interested professionals wishing to coach for the Fire to apply for one of our various open positions. If you feel you can positively impact our coaching staff and the women of the Orlando Fire, please forward your resume and contact information to GM@OrlandoFireFootball.com.

For Volunteers: You too can be a part of the Fire family by becoming one of our valued volunteers. If you have expertise in game day operations, marketing, and fundraising or would just love to be part of the action, please drop us a line at GM@OrlandoFireFootball.com or join us April 1st for the Player Round up meeting, (address above). If you are a college or high school student, we do offer internships and community service hours for your advancement.
