Philadelphia Rebels News Release

SEWELL, NJ - Saturday night, the Philadelphia Rebels (9-15-0-1, 19 pts) completed their two-game sweep of the Danbury Hat Tricks (2-22-1-2, 7 pts) with a 4-3 win in a shootout.

After overtime could not determine a winner, the game went into a shootout where Philadelphia walked away with the extra point after a nine-round shootout. Jack Fialkoff allowed the first two shootout chances into the net but made seven-straight saves after that to record his first win in his career.

Charles Panchisin scored the game-winner in the shootout with a chip shot over the glove of Danbury's Patriks Berzins.

Max Marquette opened the scoring for Philadelphia at the 5:16 mark in the first period. His goal was assisted by Luke deVries and Connor Sedlak. Just 1:12 later, Sedlak potted his own goal, giving the Rebels a 2-0 lead just six minutes into the game. Marquette tallied the assist on Sedlak's goal.

Greg Spitznagel made it 3-0 1:04 into the second period on a shot from the slot. Spitzngael's third of the year was assisted by Kris Samitis and Oliver Band.

Trailing 3-0, Danbury started to claw back. Quinn Kennedy scored on a five-on-three powerplay for the Hat Tricks, making it a 3-1 game at the 12:30 mark in the second period. The shot from Kennedy deflected off the stick of deVries, giving Fialkoff a tough redirection.

Two third period goals by Nash Jacobsma tied the game with 26 seconds left in regulation, but Philadelphia bounced back in the shootout.

The Rebels trailed 2-0 in the shootout before their second shooter got the chance to take the ice, but Jack Fialkoff didn't let another in. David Deputy and Kris Samitis scored on back-to-back chances, before the teams combined for 11-straight unsuccessful shots.

Panchisin was the 18th shooter of the shootout and finished the game off for Philadelphia.
