FC Tucson U.S. Open Cup Match Date and Time Announced

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup returns to Tucson this April.

United States Soccer announced on Monday the dates and times for matches in the second round of the tournament.

FC Tucson will face off against Las Vegas Lights FC of the USL Championship on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Kino North Stadium. The match will serve as a prelude to FC Tucson's home opener on April 16.

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer competition in the United States, first being held during the 1913-14 season, then known as the National Challenge Cup. The last team outside the MLS to win the competition was the Rochester Rhinos in 1999.

This is the sixth season FC Tucson has appeared in the competition, and first as a professional club.
