
FC Tucson Signs Two New Players

FC Tucson News Release
FC Tucson announced Thursday the signing of goalkeeper Jim Barkei and forward Alioune Diakhate.
Barkei joins the club after spending the 2019-2020 season with Memphis 901 FC. Prior to his time in Memphis, he played at the collegiate level at Northern Kentucky University where he recorded 100 saves and a 75 percent save percentage.
Diakhate, a center forward, joins the club after playing 450 minutes over 15 games for Indy Eleven in the USL Championship in the 2019 season.
Prior to his time in Indianapolis, he played semi-professional and professional soccer in Senegal, Serbia, Lebanon, Spain, and Ukraine.
Barkei and Diakhate will be available for selection to the Game Day 18 for Saturday's away match against Union Omaha. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN+.
Both are signed pending league and federation approval.
