FC Tucson continues its six-match road trip this Saturday in Frisco, Texas,as the Men in Black take on North Texas SC for the second time this season. In their last meeting, North Texas SC defeated FC Tucson 1-0.

Last Saturday, FC Tucson suffered its first loss since June 25th, falling to Forward Madison FC 1-0 at Breese Stevens Field. Forward Don Smart scored the lone goal of the night in the 44thminute.

FC Tucson has gone unbeaten in four of their last five matches, including an impressive 3-1 victory over Greenville Triumph SC on July 20th.

North Texas SC enters the match following a 1-0 loss against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, Aug 3rd. North Texas currently sits in first place in the table with a record of 10-4-4 and 34 points.

The club's leading scorer is Ronaldo Damus with nine goals, ranking first in USL League One.

Arturo Rodriguez leads the club with six assists.

A Seasoned Vet

Captain Kyle Venter has served as an anchor on the defensive side of the pitch for FC Tuscon. In 14 appearances, the center-back has registered 62 clearances, 22 interceptions, and 19 blocked shots. Venter also ranks second on the club with four goals on the season.

Just Be Cool

FC Tucson and North Texas both enter the match as the two least-carded teams in the USL League One. But when both clubs played each other on June 25th, each team received three yellow cards in the match. North Texas SC ranks ninth in the USL League One with 31 yellow cards, FC Tucson ranks tenth with just 24 yellow cards.

Midfielder Jamael Cox remains the club's minutes leader with 1,275 minutes played. He's followed by Kyle Venter (1,260), Devyn Jambga (1,188), Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu (1,170), Luke Hauswirth (1,084) and Phillip Ejimadu (1,080) to round out the players who have logged at least 1,000 minutes. José Terrón (962) and Jordan Jones (958) round out the players who have notched at least 900 minutes.
