
FC Tucson Defender Kyle Venter Named to USL League One Team of the Week

TUCSON, Ariz. - FC Tucson defender Kyle Venter was named the USL League One Player of the Week for Week 18 of the 2019 USL League One season the league announced today.
Venter registered his fourth goal of the season in the opening minute of the club's 1-1 draw against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC. Midfielder Devin Vega sent a cross into the box to Jordan Jones, who hit the crossbar with a strong header. The veteran defender tucked in the goal off of the rebound.
The goal, 53 seconds into the match, was the second-fastest goal scored in USL League One history.
FC Tucson will be back in action on Saturday, August 3rd, when the club travels to Madison, Wisconsin to take on Forward Madison SC.
Kickoff is set for 5:00 P.M. and the match will be streamed via ESPN+.
