Father and sons head for Pensacola, Florida

April 26, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA Co-Owner, today announced the 17th expansion team in the record-setting pro basketball league - Pensacola, Florida. According to Newman, "Several weeks ago, we received an inquiry from a father and two sons whose dream it was to own a professional basketball team. Their goal was to re-locate to Florida - specifically Pensacola. We felt that Pensacola could be an outstanding ABA city; it fit well into our divisional plans - and lo and behold - number seventeen is in place."

Anthony Owens, the father, is a successful businessman who owns and operates a variety of businesses. He has taken great pride in teaching his sons the path to entepreneurship. Owens stated, "This is an opportunity to fulfill dreams and create employment for many. We love basketball - and we love to serve our Lord and the community."

Lamar Owens and Bradley Bullock, the sons, are VP's of Anthony and Sons Construction, LLC, A & T Badges, Jones-Owens Janitorial Services and Anthony Owens Global Entertainment, Inc., with their dad being CEO. Anthony added, "Not only is my son Lamar a co-owner of the team with his brother and me, but he is looking forward to attending the training camp and trying out for the Pensacola Aviators, our teams name, in honor of the large military population there. Lamar is really good and has pro potential. My son Bradley is a musician and CEO of Frost Bitten Records and promotes up and coming artists in the music industry. Our games will be sports and entertainment." The brothers added, "This is a wonderful opportunity for our father and us and we are looking forward to being successful owners of an ABA team."

Additional details will be announced shortly, including venue, GM, coach, tryout camps, personnel requirements. For more information, log onto www.abalive.com - or email Anthony Owens at gojes2003@yahoo.com, or call (317) 281-8814.
