Amarillo Venom News Release
AMARILLO, Texas - On May 25 against the New Mexico Stars, the Amarillo Venom encouraged its dedicated fanbase to come out and support those affected by the Double Diamond wildfire in Fritch by way of donation. Fans were given a free ticket in return for a donation of at least $2 to provide relief to the Fritch community.
Together with our great fans and sponsors, more than $11,000 raised was donated in their name to the Fritch relief fund that is at the Pantex Credit Union. The money brought in will be used for the immediate needs of the community.
Stephanie Tucker, the owner of the Amarillo Venom, would like to personally thank all of those who have donated, attended or have supported the Venom - in the past, present and future.
"[The fans and sponsors] are the ones that made this event happen," Tucker said. According to Tucker, the Venom players and staff would like to encourage its fans and sponsors to keep praying for all those affected.
We, at the Amarillo Venom organization, would like to express to those in Fritch that despite the long road to recovery, they will know that the entire Texas Panhandle is behind them. This support makes the Venom proud to serve Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle, along with being proud that we have the best fans in the LSFL and indoor football.
The Amarillo Venom are a proud member of the Lone Star Football League. For more information and tickets, contact the Amarillo Venom office at (806) 350-7277.
