LAST WEEK
The F.C. Barcelona Dragons lost their second straight home game 13-47 to the Frankfurt Galaxy. With that win, the Galaxy swept the season series with the Dragons. The game started off tough for the Dragons. After winning the toss and electing to receive, Galaxy kicker Jon Hilbert kicked a squib to Matt Cercone who returned the ball 13 yards before fumbling and giving the Galaxy possession at Barcelona's 37-yard line. After converting one third down, Frankfurt was forced to attempt a field goal, which they faked and the pass fell incomplete giving the ball to the Dragons offense who went three-and-out. The Galaxy regained possession and drove 48 yards in 14 plays setting up Ralf Kleinmann for a 26-yard field goal and a 3-0 Frankfurt lead. On the ensuing kickoff, returner Sean Morey coughed the ball up giving Frankfurt possession on the Dragons' 26. The Galaxy were held to three downs and Hilbert connected on a 39-yard field goal to increase Frankfurt's first quarter lead to 6-0. The Dragons were forced to punt to start the second frame and the Galaxy took the ball 62 yards in a drive that was capped off by a Quinn Gray-to-Robert Baker 14-yard touchdown toss. The teams traded punts on the next three possesions then Frankfurt added to their lead shortly after the two-minute worning when Gray found Marc Lester on a 28-yard touchdown pass. The Dragons answered back quickly just before halftime when Kyle McCann recorded his first touchdown pass of the season, finding Sean Morey on a 45-yard hitch-and-go to cut the Galaxy's lead to 20-7. The teams once again traded punts on the first two possessions of the second half until the Galaxy added to their lead when Kleinmann converted his second field goal - a 19- yarder - to give Frankfurt a 23-7 lead. Again, Barcelona wasted no time when Seth Burford found Kerwin Cook wide open on a 59-yard touchdown pass. The two-point attempt failed cutting the Dragons defecit to 23-13. Frankfurt then added to their lead early in the fourth quarter when Gray found Baker once again on a 26-yard touchdown pass. The Galaxy further extended their lead to 37- 13 when Robert Gillespie scored on an 18-yard run. On the Dragon's next possession, Seth Burford was picked off by Rashidi Barnes leading to an Adam Tate 40-yard touchdown run.
