
ESPN Classic to Re-Air MLL Semifinals Tonight

(Boston, Mass. - September 2, 2011) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced that ESPN has dubbed the MLL semifinal games during Hurricane Irene as "instant classics." Tonight, both semifinal games will be re-broadcast on ESPN Classic. The Boston Cannons vs. Chesapeake Bayhawks will air at 6:00 PM (ET) and the Hamilton Nationals vs. Denver Outlaws will air at 8:00 PM.
The 2011 Sports Authority MLL Championship Weekend presented by Warrior took place on August 27 and 28 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. The Boston Cannons defeated the Chesapeake Bayhawks with a score of 14-13 and the Hamilton Nationals defeated the Denver Outlaws with a final score of 11-9. On Sunday August 28 the Boston Cannons edged the Hamilton Nationals to win their first Steinfeld Trophy in League history.
