Eddie Dennis, Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings Manager Joins 2012 Arizona Winter League

(San Ramon, CA. November 28, 2011) The Arizona Winter League announced today that Eddie Dennis, Manager of the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the North American League, has accepted a position as one of the manager/instructors for the 2012 Arizona Winter League that runs from Jan. 30th to March 1st. Dennis will manage a team and will be looking to sign players for his team and recommend players to the Frontier League.

Dennis played for eight seasons in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system, with most at the AA level. After his playing days he was a minor league coach and manager in the Toronto system and for the last nine seasons has been the manager of the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. He has taken his team to the playoffs five times and reached the North American League championship series last year before falling to the Edmonton Capitals. He also manages in the Nicaraguan Winter League which finishes just prior to the start of the AWL. This is his fourth season in the Arizona Winter League as he has been one of the most active signers of players to pro contracts with over 30 players going to his Rio Grande Valley team and he has also found his AWL players jobs with the New York Mets, four other independent teams, and with him in Nicaragua as well.
