ECHL Announces Preseason Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced its preseason schedule of 24 games beginning Oct. 7 and continuing through Oct. 13.

The preseason opens on Wednesday, Oct. 7 with a pair of games - Indy hosting Fort Wayne and Wheeling visiting Cincinnati.

The Premier 'AA' Hockey League will open its 28th season with 11 games on Friday, Oct. 16. Opening weekend continues with 13 games on Saturday, Oct. 17 and three games on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League, the ECHL averaged 4,598 fans per game in 2014-15, the 11th consecutive season and the 23rd time in the last 25 years that the ECHL has averaged over 4,000 fans.
