
ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Trenton's Mascioli fined
Trenton's Mike Mascioli has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #P-4, Elmira at Trenton, on Oct. 7.
Mascioli was assessed a minor penalty under Rule #9.5 at 7:06 of the second period for failure to wear a mouth-guard.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Utah's Emmerson fined, suspended
Utah's Riley Emmerson has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline, as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #P-10, Utah at Idaho, on Oct. 7.
Emmerson is fined and suspended as a result of an illegal check to the head of an opposing player.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Emmerson missed Utah's preseason game against Idaho on Oct. 8 and will miss Utah's regular-season games vs. Idaho (Oct. 14), at Idaho (Oct. 15) and vs. Bakersfield (Oct. 19).
Bakersfield's Hunt fined, suspended
Bakersfield's Trevor Hunt has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline, as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #P-11, Bakersfield at Stockton, on Oct. 7.
Hunt was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for cross-checking under Rule #59.5 at 6:48 of the first period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Hunt missed Bakersfield's preseason game vs. Stockton on Oct. 8 and will miss Bakersfield's regular-season games at Ontario (Oct. 14), vs. Colorado (Oct. 15) and at Utah (Oct. 19).
Cincinnati's Suter fined, suspended
Cincinnati's Garett Suter has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #21.1 - Match Penalty, as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #P-13, Wheeling at Cincinnati, on Oct. 8.
Suter was assessed a match penalty for slew-footing at 10:49 of the third period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Suter will miss Cincinnati's game at Kalamazoo on Oct. 15.
