The Jersey Rockhoppers had a perfect 3-0-0 week, extending their winning streak to four with victories over Danbury, Brooklyn, and Hudson Valley. The Rockhoppers (17-11-1) put some daylight between themselves and the third place Danbury Mad Hatters ( 13-12-1) as the second place 'Hoppers now have an eight point lead over Danbury. The Brooklyn Aces (24-3-3) remain in first place while Hudson Valley (2-24-1) remains in fourth.

EPHL Player of the Week

The Jersey Rockhoppers Chris Ferazzoli and Tom Boudreau are the Co-Eastern Professional Hockey League Players of the Week. The two Jersey forwards each had seven point weeks (2 goals & 5 assists) as the Rockhoppers won three in a row. Boudreau, from Oak Lawn, Illinois, scored a goal and two assists and Floral Park, NY native Chris Ferazzoli added two goals and an assist in the 'Hoppers important 7-5 win over Danbury on January 29th. Boudreau also scored the game winning goal on Saturday night (31st) against Hudson Valley. Chris Ferazzoli is third in the EPHL in scoring with 19 goals-31 assists- 50 pts and Tom Boudreau is tied for fourth with 18 goals-25 assists-43 pts.

EPHL Goaltender of the Week

Nick Niedert of the Jersey Rockhoppers is the Eastern Professional Hockey League Goaltender of the Week. Niedert helped lead the Rockhoppers to key victories over both Danbury & Brooklyn on January 29th & 30th. In the two games, the veteran Hudson, Iowa goaltender stopped 78 of 88 shots. On the year, Nick leads the EPHL in games played (23) and minutes played (1312) and has posted a 3.98 goals against average and an 89.5% save percentage.

EPHL Notes

The Brooklyn Aces Kyle McCullough leads the EPHL in scoring (16 goals-42 assists- 58 pts) and his 42 assists also lead in that category.....the Aces Mike Christensen leads the EPHL in goals scored with 23.....Jersey Rockhopper Tom Boudreau has 7 power plays goals.....Eddie Neville of the Brooklyn Aces is the league's top goaltender with a 3.13 goals against average and a 90.8% save percentage.....the Brooklyn Aces will hold "NYPD Night" on Saturday (2/7). The NYPD Hockey Team will play the Nassau County Police Hockey Team prior to the Aces game. On Sunday (2/8), it will be "Kids Day" at the Aces game with all kids 12 and under receiving free admission with a paid adult ticket.
