Washington DC - The Washington Eagles are proud to announce they will be playing the upcoming 2014 season in the AIF (American Indoor Football). "Coming back to the AIF is a very exciting opportunity for the Eagles. We felt this was best for our organization." states Owner/General Manager Lamont Gore. "I would like to thank John Morris and all of the AIF for this opportunity." Mr. Gore comes to the Eagles with a very good football background having owned the Metro Nemesis since 2007 and winning the 2010 MAFL Championship. "We set out to make the AIF the most competitive league in the country. Essentially, by bringing the Eagles back, we were able to maintain the integrity of the AIF while reducing the travel costs for many teams as well."," said League CEO John Morris, "The Eagles are committed to the community and share our vision for a better league." The Eagles will begin league play on March 29, 2014 taking on the York Capitals in York.
