Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Tuesday that they have signed forward Kyle Ostrow for the 2015-16 season. This will be Ostrow's third season with Colorado, after spending the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns with the Eagles. In total, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound winger notched 40 goals, 53 assists and finished with a plus/minus rating of plus-20 in 110 games with Colorado. The Calgary, Alberta native spent the past season playing in Europe with Lowen Frankfurt, registering five goals and eight assists in 11 games during an injury-shortened season with the Lions.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kyle back to the Colorado Eagles, he is a dynamic player who will help us in every phase of the game," said Eagles head coach and general manager Chris Stewart. "He gives us a tremendous offensive weapon up front, while also being very responsible in his own zone. In addition, what he does on specialty teams is as good as you will find in this league."
Ostrow spent four seasons at the University of Denver prior to beginning his professional career, including a senior season which saw him serve as the team's captain and be named Team MVP. During his time with the Pioneers, Ostrow tallied 105 points in 158 games, including 55 goals.
"I'm very excited to be back in Colorado and I'm looking forward to having a great season," said Ostrow. "We're going to try to put together a long run and the goal here is always to win a championship, so I can't wait."
In addition to his time with the Eagles, Ostrow has also appeared in 59 ECHL games with the Chicago Express and 12 AHL games with the Abbotsford Heat and Rochester Americans.
Season tickets for the 2015-16 season are on-sale now and can be reserved with a $50 deposit per seat by calling the Eagles ticket office at 970-686-SHOT (7468). The 2015-16 regular season home schedule kicks off on Friday, October 16th when the Eagles host the Utah Grizzlies. A complete schedule can be found at www.ColoradoEagles.com.
