Published on July 29, 2019 under Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release

Annapolis, MD - The 2019 MLL All-Star Game was one of the closest of all-time. After going into overtime fans witnessed a spectacular game-winning goal by a stand-out rookie, Brendan Sunday. While Sunday was the hero for Team Ice, giving them the 16-15 win over Team Fire, Dylan Molloy of Team Fire won the New Balance Player of the Game. Molloy scored a spectacular five goals in a six-point evening. As the MVP, Molloy is the recipient of $10,000 courtesy of New Balance. We caught up with Molloy to hear more of his thoughts on the MLL All-Star Game.

What do you plan to do with the New Balance Player of the Game $10,000?

I plan on donating it. I have a couple of charities that mean a lot to me and my family, and I wanted to share the support with them. I am focusing the donation on St. Jude's and a local animal shelter.

Did you have any special game plan going into the night?

Game plan was just to have fun and enjoy playing with the best in the league!

Your team was packed with talent. Was there anyone that you enjoyed having on your team instead of playing against?

I enjoyed playing with all of the MLL All-Stars that I had not yet had the chance to suit up with. Although, I definitely enjoyed having Zach Currier on my team. We have been battling against each other for the last 6 years...Brown/Princeton and then in MLL.

What was it like having MLL legends like Brian Reese and Spencer Ford coaching you?

It was awesome to have the chance to play for such great coaches, guys who were such legends in the league, and then it was fun to get to know them.

What was your favorite part of the MLL All-Star weekend?

MLL All Star weekend was packed with memorable moments and fun experiences. The boat cruise around Annapolis was probably the highlight off the field.
